Yemeni Sidr Leaves & Leaf Powder

About the leaves
Sidr is the tree behind Sidr honey: Ziziphus spina-christi, also called the lote or jujube tree, which grows across Yemen. These are its leaves, dried — whole, or ground fine as Sidr leaf powder.
Across Yemen and the wider region, the powder has been mixed with warm water into a paste and used to wash hair and skin for centuries. It cleans with very little lather and leaves hair feeling very clean.
Whole leaves can be crushed and soaked instead, but powder mixes far more easily.
How to use it
Mix the powder with warm water into a loose paste, let it stand, work it into damp hair and scalp, then rinse well. The full method, with how much to use for your hair length:

What is Sidr leaf powder?
The dried leaves of the Sidr tree, Ziziphus spina-christi, ground fine. Sidr powder and Sidr leaves are the same leaf; the powder simply mixes more easily.
How do I use it on my hair?
Mix two to three tablespoons with warm water into a loose paste and let it stand for about ten minutes. Work it into damp hair and scalp, leave it for five to ten minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Short hair needs less, long, thick hair more.
Does it colour hair like henna?
No. Sidr is a wash, not a dye. It contains no colourant; any green you see is leaf residue, which rinses out.
Is it the same tree as Sidr honey?
Yes, the same species. Sidr honey is what bees make from the tree's blossom; these are its leaves.
How should I store it?
In a cool place, away from the sun and direct light, as the label says.

I have bought this sidr leaves powder 3 times this year. The Quran mentions the Sidr tree several times. It has numerous benefits. It was used as a natural soap and shampoo during prophetic times, among other things. Side Leaves
We used the leaves to relieve chest pain and tightness. It relaxes the coronary blood vessels when you pour boiling water on leaves and leave it for 15 minutes before you drink it. One simple note, each bag we order has a number of the seeds which will contribute to the health and weight. It is good practice if the leaves are cleaned from the seeds for 2 reasons: 1) the seeds came out of the mouth of someone after eating the fruit. 2) The weight of the seeds will replace equal weight of the leaves.
